As a company, we seek out authors who can provide relevant non-fiction books, usually within their own sphere of expertise. The time between initially commissioning the book and getting it out into the marketplace is around six months. The first step is to furnish our distributors, Turnaround Publishers Services, with an Advance Information sheet which contains summarised details of the book, cover Price and ISBN.
This then goes to all bookshops and online sites. Our royalties are more generous than other larger companies, in that we pay 10% of cover price. In situations where wholesalers order at larger than usual discounts we pay 7.5% of cover price.
The book market is very competitive, and we do our best for all authors, ensuring that the final product is professionally finished. We are in continual touch with authors, and we also expect the author to actively participate in the marketing of their own work.
